Hey, I have 2017 Bmws1000r Stock. I have bought a dominator mid piple/decat. I am going to cut the muffler/cat with a milwakee thin metal cutter. I will slap on the the dominator mid pipe and leave the stock akra exhaust on. Any thoughts on this do I need a tune/dyno after this change. Also, can I just leave the servo cables hanging somewhere/tucked away would it turn on the check engine light?
These carbs fit straight out of the box but as can be seen in the video the airbox rubber wont fit the 50mm carb air intake. I've made a 50mm ID to 40mm OD adaptor to convert this to accept the OEM airbox. This makes them quieter and far less prone to issues. Also to install these carbs the intake manifold needs to be shorter as the carb is longer, this can be done by taking out the spacer that sits against the head and instead using a thin gasket thus sorting the assembly by 25mm*

This way is bad for battery Im 100% sure. Not sure whats better for engine tho. The best way is to store a bike inside at constant temperature around 10-15C and remove the battery and charge it once.
Or, far more easy, just use a battery saving charger ( like the OptiMate 4 for example) 😉
